The Chicago Pizza Company is a 100% New Zealand company created by the owners of Romano’s Pizzas and Maxwell’s Pastry. We are privately owned and operated by the same family that started making pastry way back in 1975. We decided to use our knowledge and expertise in pastry to create what has now become New Zealand’s most popular frozen pizza, the Chicago Classic Meatlovers. The name Chicago Pizza Company was inspired by the city famous for its passion for quality pizza while the characters on the boxes refer to a light-hearted, sentimental take on an American mafia family and their enthusiasm for getting together for good food cooked well. Chicago’s frozen pizza was launched so that high quality pizza could be available in supermarkets for families everywhere.
